I have been working in functional strength training with women for the past two years. This style of personal training is designed to improve strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and overall movement quality. It helps women move more confidently and comfortably in everyday life, making it especially beneficial for those in recovery, postnatal stages, menopause, or anyone wanting to feel stronger and more capable.

After obtaining my Level 3 Personal Training qualification, along with my pre and postnatal certification in 2024, I have spent two years working closely with women in recovery from a number of different injuries, health conditions or pregnancy. Through this experience, I have recognised that many women need more structured and ongoing support during their recovery than is currently available within the NHS care package.

This is what led me to become a Holistic Core Restore Coach. I wanted to deepen my knowledge with well-researched, evidence-based material so I can better support my clients through their recovery journey and ensure I provide the highest standard of care.

After my second baby (weighing 10lb 13oz), recovery felt much harder and longer. I struggled with pelvic girdle pain and, while I had great physiotherapist support, it felt like help stopped after the acute phase.

I couldn’t find anything that supported the full picture - not even Pilates gave me the safe, progressive approach I needed to rebuild strength and confidence.

Why did I decide to specialise?

So I wanted to create a space where women can truly understand their bodies, know their stage of recovery, and rebuild their strength step by step.

Because recovery isn’t just about getting back what you had before - it’s about moving forward, stronger and more connected to yourself and what feels like a new body.

The Holistic Core Restore Programme is an online space created especially for women who need pelvic and core rehabilitation.
